Who are we?

My wife (Marianne) works as a bookkeeper and girl- Friday for Ken Grassi. She started out working beside Julie, Ken’s sister at Pierce County Medical (many years ago, like 90 yrs. or more, (hehehehe). They became Best friends; therefore because Ken was such a character the stage was set for Marianne to come to work for Ken a few years later. She started out doing inventory then assisting in other things. Before long the bookkeeper assistant job came available as simply as a  Part time Job. Well 26 years later she’s still “Part-Time” working 24/7 and enjoying Most every minute. (well there are those times!, you know, perfect never occurs down here.) As I’m writing this my wife is saying no, don’t say that , stop don’t write about me!  SO I’ll be back later to add to this little saga.

Whey now that she’s out of the house I can continue.

At first she was very worried she didn’t have enough skills to handle the Job. She had gone through some training at Bates Vocational Technical Institute (Bates Tech College now), her and a friend competed for speed tests in typing and 10 Keying and within a few week her instructor recommended her to The Job at Pierce County Medical. After marriage and a baby she took time to rise our first child (Christopher Bruce Backman). She was a very good Mother in spite of someone telling her years later that because she could not follow instructions about caring for their Cat she would be a terrible Grandmother…..  but I digress… back to Ken……sorry….. She was able to please the old bookkeeper and did just fine and eventually replaced her. She 26 years later is trying to retire but is unable to replace herself, I wonder why?  She loves being the problem solver and I don’t think she wants to give up the “feeling of accomplishment”, and great feedback she gets from Ken.

And Me, well I’m just the little old Husband of The Most impressive wife I know….????{{{ I know there are other great wife’s out there, I just am not married to them}}} oh, I’m so digging a 6 foot deep hole. I do Repair work on most anything thus a Handy Man. I did Tv Service, VCR service (what is that, a very complex electronic device, much more than any other product I’ve ever worked on.) Then Computers, then Networking wired and wireless. Then Instruction in Computers and the Microsoft Way!  Yippee thanks Bill Gates for the supper great Company and opportunities you gave us all.

I have been keeping Ken’s Web Sites alive , even if only just barely. I have had much fun learning. I took over from who know who. and for me I think did Okay. Two of them are very flat and this one is in process. as you see.

More next time about Ken or some other character real or made up. Thanks Folks.

  2. Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Chrome.

I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with
web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know.
The layout look great though! Hope you get the problem solved soon.
    Thanks

I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today,
yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all site owners and
bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever
    before.
